Here are 10 travel tips for first time travellers.
1. Travel with an open mind to learn something new.
2. You’re a guest in that country. It’s not going to be like home. Learn and respect the place, if it’s difficult for you then stay back in your country.
3. Take a crash course on the culture, the people and learn some new words in their local language.
Special shout out to the group that traveled with me to Abidjan… I hope you can still have French conversation?
4. Don’t leave home without travel insurance.
5. Respect the country’s laws!
6. Be polite and respectful to whoever you meet and wherever you go.
7. Don’t be loud, try to blend in.
8. Scan your passport data page and save on Google drive.
9. If you’re a solo traveller, do not travel at night.
10. Do not depend on your bank cards… carry cash or download apps you can use abroad.
