Having been to over 35 countries of the world, here are my top 5 countries I’ll advise first time travellers to visit and build their travel history.
1. Abidjan
This is for low budget travellers and can be done by road. With this trip your passport has the opportunity of getting over 15 stamps with each entry and exit.
At Abidjan, you get the chance to visit the biggest cathedral in the Africa, visit be beaches, forest reserve, enjoy the local cousine and the night life. You can also try the French you refused to learn in secondary school.
This trip is under 1m for 5 days.
2. Rwanda
Known as the country with a thousand hills, Rwanda is also for low budget travellers who wants to experience a country outside West Africa.
It gives you the opportunity to try different food, take exciting photos with the hilly landscape, experience the culture with the guardians of Gorilla village and taste the banana beer.
This trip is under 2m for 5/6 days.
3. Qatar
If you want to explore outside Africa and experience luxury on a budget, this is your best bet. It’s a mixture of the middle East vibes and a tiny bit of western culture.
In Doha, you experience the dune bashing, take a photo holding the Falcon which is the national animal, ride on the Camel, take the Dshow traditional boat ride and explore the Souq Waqif which is the market for spice and souvenirs.
Depending on the season, this trip is under 3m for a 5 days stay but could be higher during peak seasons.
4. Egypt
The land of the Pharaohs. If you love ancient history and Arabian vibes, pack your suitcase and head to Egypt.
From the pyramid of Giza to the Phynx which are structures built over 1000 years ago, to Museum holding mummified remains of past Kings, it arouses a feeling of curiosity.
Then a trip to the Northern part of Egypt takes you to the famous River Nile and different temples. Egypt is strictly for the curious minded.

5. Singapore
The pearl of Asia. Singapore is a first world country that if you visit you would want to visit again. Its among the most expensive places to visit in the world. Singapore gives you a Mixture of culture and modernisation. There is something for everyone in Singapore.
Singapore is exciting in the day, it’s incredible at night.
This trip is under 5m also depending on the season.
